DEE Development Engineers has announced a board meeting to review tariff cuts impacting its Punjab biomass plants. The 8 MW Abohar plant faces a ₹15.53 Cr recovery demand and an estimated ₹12.5 Cr annual revenue loss after tariff was slashed from ₹7.47 to ₹5.42/unit. The 6 MW Muktsar plant’s PPA expired, with an interim tariff set at ₹3.50/unit, risking a ₹26 Cr revenue decline annually. The company is pursuing legal action and exploring private PPAs and green hydrogen conversion to offset these impacts and improve asset use.
