1. Financial Highlights:

GNFC reported operating revenue of ₹7,892 Cr in FY24-25, largely steady from ₹7,930 Cr the prior year. EBITDA rose to ₹615 Cr (8% margin) from ₹503 Cr (6%), supported by improved volumes, realizations, and lower feed/fuel costs despite some plant shutdowns. PBT increased 21% to ₹790 Cr, with PAT at ₹585 Cr and EPS of ₹39.85. Net fixed assets remained stable at ₹3,093 Cr, net worth strong at ₹8,452 Cr, and operating cash flow improved to ₹606 Cr due to subsidy releases and operational efficiencies.

2. Strategic Initiatives & Growth Drivers:

Capex around ₹2,900 Cr targets coal-based steam & power (18 MW), ammonia (+50 KTPA), and weak nitric acid (+200 KTPA) expansions to lower costs and boost output. Brownfield Ammonium Nitrate expansion is being evaluated. These moves aim to enhance cost competitiveness and reliability, strengthening market position.

3. Business Developments:

Dahej plant completed its annual turnaround, resuming stable production. Talks for a JV with INEOS are in progress, indicating potential strategic partnership. The company hit record production levels for ammonia, urea, and weak nitric acid.

4. Market Position & Competitive Advantage:

GNFC sustains leadership with 100%+ capacity utilization and tech partnerships with BASF, Kemira. It’s India’s sole producer of oil-based ammonia and glacial acetic acid via methanol carbonylation, plus Southeast Asia’s only TDI maker. A diversified product mix and pan-India presence underpin financial resilience.

5. Investor Implications:

Steady volume growth and margin expansion, coupled with focused capex, support positive growth potential. Execution risk lies in brownfield project timelines and JV outcomes. The company’s strong tech edge and diversified portfolio offer stable returns. A 180% dividend payout signals confidence in cash flow generation.
