Reliance Defence has partnered with German defence firm Rheinmetall AG to supply explosives and propellants for medium and large caliber ammunition. They will co-market products and expand collaboration. Reliance Defence plans a large greenfield facility in Maharashtra to produce 200,000 artillery shells and significant explosives annually. This aims to position the company among India’s top three defence exporters and contribute to the country’s INR 50,000 Cr defence export target by 2029.
