BMW Industries has announced a board meeting to discuss the financial results for the quarter and half-year. Its wholly owned subsidiary, BMW Iron and Steel, inaugurated two new tube mills and a 1.28 MW rooftop solar power plant at the Jamshedpur facility, investing ₹50 crore through bank finance and internal accruals. This expansion increases tube manufacturing capacity by 60,000 MT to approximately 6,00,000 MT per annum, addressing rising market demand. The solar plant supports part of the plant’s energy needs, reducing reliance on conventional power and advancing the company’s ESG goals, reflecting a commitment to sustainable growth and efficient manufacturing.
