The Motor & General Finance Limited has announced a board meeting on May 28, 2025.

Revenue grew 13.2% YoY to ₹992.74 lakhs, driven by leasing, renting, and sale of immovable property, with core operations revenue rising to ₹697.17 lakhs from ₹620.36 lakhs. Despite higher top-line, net profit dropped 31.4% to ₹79.66 lakhs, with EPS falling to ₹0.21 from ₹0.30. Profitability was hit by a ₹3.67 lakh share of loss from associates and increased operating expenses.

Total expenses rose to ₹909.41 lakhs, primarily due to other expenses surging to ₹530.05 lakhs; employee costs stayed flat. Finance costs halved to ₹19.91 lakhs, reflecting improved financial cost control. Depreciation remained stable at ₹112.61 lakhs.

Borrowings were sharply reduced to ₹4.26 lakhs from ₹126.64 lakhs, enhancing financial stability. Operating cash flow stayed healthy at ₹95.39 lakhs, with minimal capex of ₹0.53 lakhs indicating prudent capital deployment.

The main risk continues to be the financial stress in associates, especially Jayabharat Credit Limited, which is under significant losses and negative net worth—this directly weighs on consolidated profits. Management support for associates remains critical but no new expansion or capex plans were shared.

For retail investors, steady revenue and improved leverage are positives, but caution is warranted due to associate company losses impacting net earnings. The company shows stable momentum but watch associate risks closely.
