Banka BioLoo has announced a board meeting on 28 May 2025 and approved its audited consolidated financial results for FY25.

1) Revenue Performance: Consolidated revenue rose ~8.3% YoY to Rs. 54.17 Cr from Rs. 50.00 Cr, driven by its core wastewater and fecal treatment manufacturing and services.

2) Profitability and EPS: The consolidated net loss widened sharply to Rs. 8.73 Cr from Rs. 0.52 Cr last year, with EPS at negative Rs. 8.21. Loss before tax surged to Rs. 9.12 Cr, impacted by exceptional impairment provisions linked to its wholly owned subsidiary.

3) Operational Costs: Total expenses increased to Rs. 63.34 Cr from Rs. 51.03 Cr, mainly due to higher raw material consumption (Rs. 15.53 Cr vs Rs. 10.77 Cr) and elevated operating expenses. Employee benefits and depreciation costs also rose moderately, signaling continued investment but putting margin pressure.

4) Key Metrics: EBITDA remains negative, highlighting operational stress. Share of profit from associates was negligible. The company booked a goodwill impairment of Rs. 0.31 Cr related to the subsidiary.

5) Balance Sheet / Cash Flow Health: Borrowings eased slightly to Rs. 20.64 Cr from Rs. 28.87 Cr last year. Operating cash flow loss narrowed to Rs. 4.48 Cr from Rs. 9.97 Cr, showing some cash management improvement. Investing cash outflows were Rs. 2.02 Cr, while financing activities raised Rs. 5.08 Cr. Cash reserves edged up to Rs. 3.27 Cr.

6) Management Outlook: The subsidiary, Enzotech Solutions, has started voluntary insolvency proceedings, triggering impairment provisions. Management is monitoring recoverability closely. Core focus remains on wastewater treatment solutions.

Final Takeaway: Banka BioLoo’s steady revenue growth contrasts with widening losses and rising costs, largely due to subsidiary impairments and ongoing expenses. Operational cash flow is improving but still negative. Investors should watch the subsidiary’s resolution progress and cost controls for signs of a turnaround. Current trends suggest near-term caution despite steady core revenues.
