Essar Shipping has announced a board meeting to approve the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The consolidated profit stood at ₹656.57 crore after exceptional items, marking a strong turnaround from earlier losses despite ongoing operational challenges. The company generated income from chartering and management services and completed a partial stake sale in a foreign subsidiary, netting ₹443.21 crore with forex gains. To reinforce governance during asset monetization and financial restructuring, new statutory and secretarial auditors were appointed for five years, alongside two additional directors, Mr. Srinivasan Vaidyanathan and Mr. Ketan Shah.
