The Indian government has deployed around 580 Central Armed Police Forces companies, comprising about 42,000 personnel, to secure the upcoming Amarnath Yatra amid heightened security concerns following the Pahalgam terror attack. This deployment includes reallocating forces from Operation Sindoor to safeguard the pilgrimage route, pilgrims, and sensitive areas such as Srinagar. Enhanced security infrastructure, including modern surveillance and quick-response units, has been put in place to manage risks. This extensive preparation aims to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the Yatra, which is seen as a critical event for regional stability and religious tourism.
