Ashok Leyland has announced a board meeting to consider the financial results for the quarter and half-year. May vehicle sales rose 5% to 15,484 units driven by a 12% jump in M&HCV trucks to 7,606 units and 9% growth in buses to 2,676 units. However, LCV sales dipped 4% to 5,202 units. On a cumulative basis, total sales stayed flat at about 28,900 units, with trucks and LCVs inching up while bus volumes declined slightly. Truck demand remains the key growth driver.
