03-06-2025 | 12:32 pm

1. Financial Highlights:

ABS Marine reported consolidated income of ₹184.31 Cr in FY25, up from ₹138.02 Cr in FY24. EBITDA grew to ₹54.64 Cr with a margin of 29.65%, slightly lower than last year’s 32.37%. Net profit increased to ₹27.25 Cr (14.79% margin) versus ₹25.44 Cr (18.43%). Standalone figures also showed growth with income of ₹175.51 Cr and net profit of ₹26.72 Cr. Net worth strengthened to ₹230.45 Cr, supported by increased borrowings to fund fleet expansion. Operating cash flow improved to ₹44.89 Cr.

2. Strategic Initiatives & Growth Drivers:

Fleet expansion continues with two new DP2 offshore vessels added and plans to acquire more specialized assets like Platform Supply Vessels and well stimulation units. Focus remains on securing charter contracts with major oil & gas players and government port authorities, targeting long-term, higher-value contracts and growing fire and safety service offerings.

3. Business Developments:

Secured contracts exceeding ₹364 Cr include a ₹197 Cr charter with Schlumberger Asia for vessel conversion, multiple offshore supply charters with ONGC, and patrol/fire tender services for Chennai and Visakhapatnam ports. Fleet specialization with DP2 vessels enhances offshore exploration and port service capabilities.

4. Market Position & Competitive Advantage:

ABS Marine leverages over three decades of experience, managing 36 vessels and deriving ~90% revenue from government and PSU clients. In-house vessel management, strong technical compliance, and operational safety provide differentiation. Their dual focus on offshore energy and port operations, combined with growing fleet scale, bolsters leadership.

5. Investor Implications:

Robust contract wins and fleet additions signal positive growth potential in offshore energy and port sectors amid increased exploration activity. Emphasis on operational efficiency and government contracts supports sustainable growth. Execution risks lie in fleet funding and integrating new assets for revenue contribution.
