Coal India Limited — Updates, 05-06-2025: Press Release

Coal India’s eco-friendly First Mile Connectivity (FMC) coal loading jumped 34% to 102.5 MT in FY25, supported by 20 FMC projects with Indian Railways. FMC cuts under-loading charges by 5%, improves coal grade quality, and boosts mechanized handling. The company plans 19 new FMC projects (~150 MT capacity) in FY26, aiming for 92 projects totaling 994 MT capacity by FY29 to back its 1 billion tonne production target. FMC also lowers emissions, diesel consumption, operational costs, and enhances safety and wagon turnaround times.
