Virtuoso Optoelectronics Ltd — Updates, 09-06-2025: Company Update
Virtuoso Optoelectronics Limited has announced a board meeting to consider the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The company reported strong sales growth of 32.5% year-on-year, closing at ₹702 Cr for FY25 with a five-year CAGR of 43%. EBITDA and PBT showed robust growth despite higher deferred tax provisions affecting PAT margin. Virtuoso is diversifying its product mix beyond air conditioners (ACs), which currently contribute about 75% of revenue, into compressors (expected commercial production by Q3), freezers, water dispensers, and semi-automatic washing machines, aiming to reduce seasonality impact. Capacity expansions include increasing AC outdoor and indoor unit capacities to 1 million sets each by Q3, ramping up refrigeration capacity, and growing EMS and lighting segments. Revenue guidance for FY26 is around ₹1,000 Cr (±₹100 Cr), with EBITDA margins estimated at 8.5-9%, improving to above 9% in subsequent years due to better product mix. The compressor business, in partnership with Chinese firms Jiaxipera and Huayi, focuses on localization and aims to capture market share as BIS certification enforcement evolves. The company continues to deepen its relationship with anchor clients like Voltas, which accounted for 65-70% of revenue, while onboarding multinational customers in refrigeration. Virtuoso is also expanding component manufacturing through its subsidiary Virtuoso Polymers to improve margins and operational efficiency. Expected capex for FY26 and FY27 totals about ₹250 Cr, allocated across compressors, freezers, AC capacity, components, and washing machines. The company anticipates achieving double-digit ROE next fiscal as new capacities fully ramp up, with positive traction from PLI benefits contributing to EBITDA. Listing approval from BSE is expected imminently, which will enhance share liquidity. Overall, Virtuoso is establishing a broad product base and scaling capacity to support sustainable growth despite short-term demand uncertainties due to early monsoons and market seasonality.
