Sun Pharma has announced a board meeting to approve Kirti Ganorkar as Managing Director from September 1, 2025, succeeding Dilip Shanghvi, who will remain as Executive Chairman. Kirti, heading the India Business since 2019, has driven strong growth and expanded markets including Japan and Europe. Abhay Gandhi, President & CEO of North America, is stepping down, to be replaced by biopharma veteran Rick Ascroft. Aalok Shanghvi, COO, will assume responsibility for North America operations, with Rick reporting to him. This leadership change aims to strengthen global business execution.
