A consortium of Maharashtra State Power Generation Company and NTPC has secured a Letter of Intent to acquire Sinnar Thermal Power Limited (1350 MW coal-based plant). This acquisition, pending approvals, advances STPL’s resolution process and could significantly boost the consortium’s thermal power generation capacity and market position.
