Hindustan Zinc Limited — Important, 17-06-2025: Capacity addition

Hindustan Zinc has announced a ₹12,000 Cr investment to expand its integrated zinc metal capacity by 250 KT at Debari, alongside matching mining and milling expansions. This project, part of the company’s 2x growth plan targeting completion within 36 months, aims to meet rising zinc demand driven by growth in steel and infrastructure sectors. Post-expansion, refined metal capacity will increase to 1.38 Mtpa, supporting long-term value creation by leveraging India’s strong zinc consumption outlook. The expansion will be financed through internal accruals and debt with execution via EPC partners.
