The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project in Gujarat has reached a key milestone with the installation of a 100-meter-long steel bridge in Bharuch under the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC). This is the eighth of 17 steel bridges being constructed in the state for the project. The bridge weighs about 1,400 metric tons, stands 14.6 meters high, and 14.3 meters wide. It was fabricated in Tiruchirappalli and transported using specialized launching equipment. Designed for a 100-year lifespan, it incorporates advanced materials and assembly techniques, highlighting significant progress in the state's high-speed rail infrastructure development.
