Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) has announced a notice to shareholders whose shares are liable to be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) due to unpaid/unclaimed dividends for seven consecutive years or more. The company has sent individual communications to such shareholders, advising them to claim their dividends before the shares are transferred. Details of these shares and unclaimed dividends have been made available on CDSL’s website. Shareholders who fail to claim by the stipulated deadline will have their shares and future benefits transferred to the IEPF, but may claim them later directly from the IEPF Authority.
