Kotak Mahindra Bank has reported robust financial performance with net profit growing to ₹16,450 Cr from ₹13,782 Cr. Total income stood at ₹67,881 Cr, driven by strong growth across segments—retail banking income rose to ₹33,830 Cr from ₹27,831 Cr, supported by advances rising 13.5% to ₹4,269 billion. Deposits increased 11.2% to nearly ₹4,991 billion. Asset quality remained stable with gross NPA ratio at 1.42% and net NPA at 0.31%. Provision coverage ratio improved slightly to 80.38%. The bank’s capital adequacy ratio strengthened to 22.25% with common equity tier 1 at 21.10%. Liquidity is solid with an average LCR above 128%. The bank saw a post-tax gain of ₹3520 Cr on partial divestment of Zurich Kotak General Insurance, which is now an associate. CSR spend totaled ₹241 Cr, reflecting continued emphasis on community initiatives. The board has proposed a dividend of ₹2.50 per equity share. Employee compensation aligns with regulatory frameworks, including variable and deferred pay with no malus or clawback exercised. Internal financial controls are effective, and the bank has addressed earlier RBI IT-related restrictions, which have now been lifted.
