Wheels India Limited has announced a board meeting to consider the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The company reported a 4.1% decline in standalone revenue to Rs. 4,424.86 Cr driven by a dip in commercial vehicle sales but achieved a 22% increase in EBITDA to Rs. 336.31 Cr due to better product mix, cost controls, and softer commodity prices. Net profit rose 56% to Rs. 105.85 Cr. The board has proposed a final dividend of Rs. 7.03 per share, subject to shareholder approval. Operationally, the company commissioned a new agricultural wheel line to strengthen its presence in the domestic and export tractor markets. Wheels India continues to improve operational efficiencies including renewable energy usage, now at 58% of power mix, with plans to increase further. The wholly owned US subsidiary supports business development, and the listed subsidiary WIL Car Wheels Ltd returned to profitability with Rs. 5 Cr PAT on Rs. 470.86 Cr turnover. The company maintains strong governance with appointment of a new secretarial auditor and approval to pay commission to non-executive directors for five years.
