KNR Constructions has secured a ₹4,800.57 Cr short-term contract (excluding GST) for developing and operating the Banhardih Coal Mining Block in Jharkhand. The project, awarded to the KNRCL-HCPL JV (KNR 74%), spans 5 operating years plus a 360-day initial development phase and involves mining 34.5 million tonnes of coal reserves. The client is Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd, a subsidiary of NTPC in JV with JBVNL.
