ACME Solar has announced a board meeting on its maiden standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, winning NHPC’s bid in Andhra Pradesh for a combined capacity of 275 MW / 550 MWh across two sites. The projects include 50 MW / 100 MWh at Kuppam and 225 MW / 450 MWh at Ghani, with tariffs of Rs 210,000 and Rs 222,000 per MW per month, respectively. This expands ACME’s portfolio beyond solar and wind into energy storage, supporting grid reliability and accelerating India’s clean energy transition.
