JSW Paints Limited has agreed to acquire the entire shareholding of Akzo Nobel India Limited from its current promoters, Imperial Chemical Industries Limited and Akzo Nobel Coatings International B.V. To facilitate this, Akzo Nobel India has signed a standstill undertaking with JSW Paints, restricting major business decisions and capital structure changes without prior consent until the transaction completes. The acquirer is unrelated to the existing promoters, and no special rights like board representation or share issuance rights are part of the interim agreement.
