Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited — Important, 27-06-2025: General Updates

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. has announced a board meeting and approved acquiring a controlling stake (minimum 51%) in Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC), Sri Lanka, for up to USD 52.96 million (~INR 452 Cr). CDPLC, listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange, specializes in shipbuilding and repair with a turnover of LKR 25,447 million (2024). The acquisition aims to strengthen Mazagon Dock’s market position, enhance R&D capabilities, and expand its presence in shipbuilding and repair. Post-acquisition, CDPLC will become a subsidiary, subject to customary approvals with completion expected within 4 to 6 months.
