The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), has incorporated a new wholly owned subsidiary, Davanagere Power Transmission Limited, to manage an inter-state transmission project for integrating renewable energy generation at Davanagere. Once the successful bidder is selected through a competitive bidding process, the new entity will be transferred to them with all assets and liabilities. This move strengthens REC’s role in transmission system expansion amid the renewable energy push.
