Axis Bank Limited — Important, 27-06-2025: General Updates

Axis Bank has been fined Rs. 39.2 lakh by the PMLA Appellate Tribunal for lapses in detecting suspicious transactions and filing incorrect cash transaction reports between 2006-2010. The fine was reduced significantly from an earlier Rs. 2.64 Cr penalty. The bank is evaluating further legal options and does not anticipate any significant financial or operational impact from this fine.
