SMS Pharmaceuticals has increased its stake in subsidiary SMS Peptides from 93% to 99.98% by subscribing to a Rights Issue of 30 lakh shares at Rs. 10 each, amounting to Rs. 3 Cr. SMS Peptides, incorporated in Nov 2024, is focused on R&D in pharmaceuticals and yet to start operations. This capital infusion is aimed at procuring initial equipment and machinery to support its R&D activities, strengthening the group's foothold in the pharma research segment.
