Maithan Alloys Limited — Important, 30-06-2025: Closure of operations

Maithan Alloys has announced closure of production at its Byrnihat unit in Meghalaya from August 31, 2025, indefinitely. The unit contributed ₹111.29 Cr to turnover (6.12% of company revenue) and ₹300.76 Cr to net worth (8.16%) in FY25. The shutdown is due to adverse market conditions and a steep rise in power costs in Meghalaya.
