Lupin has announced a board meeting to discuss the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The company received U.S. FDA approval for its generic Loteprednol Etabonate Ophthalmic Gel 0.38%, bioequivalent to Lotemax® SM, with estimated U.S. annual sales of USD 29 million. Being the exclusive first-to-file, Lupin gains 180 days of generic exclusivity. This product will be manufactured at Lupin’s Pithampur facility, strengthening its U.S. ophthalmic portfolio and growth prospects in the high-potential corticosteroid segment.
