Maithan Alloys has announced a board meeting regarding the acquisition of 0.01% stake (900,000 shares) in GAIL (India) Ltd. through the stock exchange for Rs 17.12 Cr. GAIL is India’s largest state-owned natural gas processing and distribution company with a ₹1,37,288 Cr turnover and diversified operations in gas sourcing, LPG, petrochemicals, and oil and gas blocks across India and globally. This acquisition is purely an investment move; Maithan Alloys does not intend to seek control or management influence in GAIL.
