Oriana Power Limited — Important, 02-07-2025: General Updates

Oriana Power Limited has announced a board meeting. The company has secured a significant 12-year contract worth Rs. 209 Cr (including GST) with Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited to develop a 50MW/100MWh Battery Energy Storage System at Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu. This project, supported by Rs. 27 Cr Viability Gap Funding, will enhance grid stability and efficiency through grid-scale energy storage under a build-own-operate model, marking a strong push into India’s clean energy infrastructure. Execution is expected within 18 months.
