03-07-2025 | 12:34 pm

SpiceJet has received the first two overhauled engines from StandardAero—one CFM LEAP-1B for the Boeing 737 MAX and one Q400 engine—marking progress in its fleet revival plan. The airline also successfully returned another Boeing 737 NG to active service. Out of 17 engines sent for overhaul, six CFM LEAP-1B engines went to Houston, seven Q400 engines to Singapore, and four engines to Carlyle Aviation to support grounded Boeing 737 NGs. This steady engine restoration is key to strengthening SpiceJet's operational capacity and fleet reliability.
