Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited has announced a board meeting on the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The company flagged off the first dispatch of Benzyl Alcohol and Benzaldehyde from its newly commissioned 30,000 TPA Chlorotoluene Plant at Dahej, complementing earlier shipments of Benzyl Chloride. This state-of-the-art facility is expected to generate annual revenues of around ₹400 Cr, including ₹130 Cr from exports, and will create 150-200 direct and 800-1000 indirect jobs. The project enhances chlorine utilization and supports GACL’s growth in pharmaceutical, agrochemicals, perfumery, and other sectors.
