REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has announced a board meeting. Two wholly owned subsidiaries—Umred Power Transmission Limited and Sakoli Power Transmission Limited—have been incorporated to undertake intra-state 400/220/132 kV transmission projects in Maharashtra. Both entities are newly set up with a paid-up capital of ₹5 lakh each and will be transferred to successful bidders following competitive bidding. These steps strengthen REC Limited’s presence in power transmission and align with government-allocated projects, potentially enhancing future revenue streams once operations commence.
