MagSon Retail and Distribution Ltd. has announced a board meeting on its acquisition of Goa-based Magsons Supercentre for Rs. 30 crore via slump sale. This adds 12 stores, 1.25 lakh+ customers, and 20,000+ SKUs, expanding MagSon’s footprint to 41+ stores across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Goa with combined revenue over Rs.130 crore. The deal boosts MagSon’s presence in premium liquor, cigars, and gourmet foods, and strengthens its multi-format retail strategy. New CEO Saibal Banerjee is set to enhance growth and scale with a focus on high-margin specialty formats and expansion plans including southern India.
