Panacea Biotec has announced a settlement of arbitration disputes with Apotex Inc., Canada, resolving conflicts related to their collaboration on Paclitaxel. Apotex will pay a total of USD 5 million in two installments, including USD 2.5 million upfront and USD 2.5 million upon final USFDA approval of the ANDA. Profit-sharing for Paclitaxel supply will be adjusted temporarily in favor of Apotex until certain recoupment thresholds are met, after which it will revert to equal sharing. This settlement will enhance profitability and cash flow for Panacea Biotec and its subsidiary.
