Hindustan Unilever has announced a board meeting on which it was noted that Rohit Jawa will step down as MD & CEO effective end of July. Priya Nair will take over as MD & CEO for five years starting August 1, subject to approvals. Nair, a seasoned leader with nearly 30 years at Unilever, currently heads the €13 billion Beauty & Wellbeing portfolio globally and has a strong track record in brand building, digital innovation, and business transformation. Jawa’s tenure saw the launch of the ‘ASPIRE’ strategy and volume-led growth despite challenging markets. This leadership change positions HUL for continued strategic growth.
