Wockhardt is exiting its loss-making US generics business, which posted a USD 8 million loss in FY25, by initiating voluntary liquidation of its US subsidiaries. This strategic shift will free up capital and management focus to strengthen its leadership in new antibiotic drug discovery and expand its biologicals portfolio in insulin. The company will continue its pharmaceutical operations in India, UK, Ireland, and other markets, aiming for sustainable growth through innovation and advanced therapies. The US generics segment contributed 3% to revenue but had a negative net worth impact.
