HFCL Limited — Board Meeting, 11-07-2025: Outcome of Board Meeting

HFCL has announced a board meeting to approve a major capacity expansion for its Intermittent Bonded Ribbon (IBR) cable manufacturing from ~1.73 mfkm to ~19.01 mfkm per annum, with a capex of around ₹125.55 Cr. This move targets growing demand from North America and Europe, backed by existing orders from large hyperscalers. The expansion will be phased from December 2025 and fully operational by June 2026, boosting the company’s consolidated optical fiber cable capacity to ~42.36 mfkm per annum. Meanwhile, a planned 10 mfkm expansion via its subsidiary in Jammu & Kashmir remains on hold due to regional security concerns.
