HFCL has announced a board meeting on July 11, 2025, approving a major capacity expansion for its Intermittent Bonded Ribbon (IBR) cable manufacturing from ~1.73 mfkm to ~19.01 mfkm per annum at its Hyderabad and Goa plants. The ₹125.55 Cr capex aims to meet rising demand from North America and Europe, leveraging existing orders from hyperscalers. The phased expansion will start in December 2025 and be fully operational by June 2026, positioning HFCL strongly in the high-growth, high-density fiber cable segment.
