Lupin has launched Loteprednol Etabonate Ophthalmic Suspension, 0.5%, in the United States. This new eye care product is bioequivalent to Bausch & Lomb's Lotemax® and targets a range of steroid-responsive inflammatory eye conditions, including post-operative inflammation. The reference product reported approximately USD 55 million in annual sales in the U.S. This strategic launch expands Lupin's U.S. generics portfolio within the ophthalmology segment, positioning the company to capture a portion of this market and potentially boost future revenue streams.
