Manali Petrochemicals (MPL) has inaugurated its expanded Propylene Glycol (PG) plant in Chennai. This significant operational upgrade boosts MPL's PG production capacity by 50,000 tonnes per annum (KTPA), adding to the existing 22,000 KTPA. The new state-of-the-art facility is set to commence operations soon. This strategic expansion aligns with the "Make in India" initiative, aiming to reduce the country's reliance on imported Propylene Glycol and meet growing domestic and industrial demand. The move strengthens MPL's market leadership and India's manufacturing capabilities.
