Hexaware has announced the acquisition of SMC Squared, a niche player in the Global Capability Center (GCC) segment. This strategic move aims to bolster Hexaware's presence in the high-growth GCC market, expected to exceed $100 billion by 2030. SMC, with approximately 500 employees, specializes in setting up GCCs for diverse clientele. The acquisition, valued at up to USD 120 Million (INR 1,029.12 Cr) in an all-cash deal, includes upfront, earnout, and outperformance components. This will add established GCC expertise, scalable capabilities, and enhance Hexaware's end-to-end solutions, integrating SMC's offerings with Hexaware's AI, analytics, and cloud strengths.
