Tata Power's subsidiary, TPREL, has bagged its inaugural Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA). This 30 MW / 120 MWh deal with NHPC for Kerala will establish a crucial battery storage system. The project, set for commissioning in 15 months, boosts grid stability and renewable energy integration. This first standalone BESS win significantly expands TPREL's total renewable capacity to ~10.9 GW, underpinning India's green energy shift.
