Tata Power Company Limited — Important, 24-07-2025: General Updates

Tata Power has made its initial strategic investment of ₹120 crore in Khorlochhu Hydro Power Limited (KHPL), acquiring a 40% equity stake. This is the first tranche of an approximately ₹830 crore total investment. KHPL is developing a 600 MW hydropower project in Bhutan, with an estimated project cost of ₹6,900 crore. This acquisition aligns with Tata Power's strategy to accelerate its clean and green energy transition. KHPL reported nil turnover for the last three years and had a net worth of ₹608 crore. Remaining tranches will be deployed over five years.
