Lloyds Engineering Works (LEWL) is expanding its strategic tech partnership with FINCANTIERI S.p.A. to indigenously manufacture advanced marine propulsion systems: Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) and Shafting Systems. This deepens an existing collaboration in defence/naval sectors. The move enhances India's naval self-sufficiency under the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative, making LEWL a pioneer. This alliance provides access to Fincantieri's expertise, boosting LEWL's manufacturing capabilities. With current defence orders over Rs 100 Cr (FY25), this partnership positions LEWL for long-term growth and a stronger role in defence manufacturing.
