Chennai Petroleum (CPCL) showed strong operational performance with crude throughput at 2.981 MMT, achieving 114% capacity utilization and 80% distillate yield. Despite this, Q1 financial results declined sharply. Revenue from Operations dropped to ₹18,683 Cr. The company reported a Loss After Tax of ₹57 Cr, a reversal from last year's ₹343 Cr profit. Gross Refining Margin (GRM) fell to US$ 3.22/bbl from US$ 6.33/bbl, mainly due to inventory losses of US$ 1.9/bbl. Consolidated Loss After Tax stood at ₹40 Cr.
