Jammu & Kashmir Bank reported a Q1 net profit of Rs. 485 Cr, up 16.7% YoY, marking its highest ever first-quarter profit, despite a one-time Rs. 87 Cr impairment. Excluding this, profit growth exceeded 30%. Deposits saw strong 12.1% YoY growth, while advances were muted at 6.1% YoY, mainly due to the corporate loan book. NIM contracted to 3.72%. Asset quality remains healthy with GNPA at 3.50% and NNPA at 0.82%. The bank aims for 12% credit growth and 10% deposit growth for FY26. The Board approved raising Rs. 1000 Cr in equity and Rs. 500 Cr in bonds for growth capital. Management is confident in consistent future performance.
