Tata Steel's subsidiary, SIW, is boosting its South-East Asia presence by fully acquiring TSN Wires Company Ltd. For a nominal ₹270, SIW is buying the remaining 40% stake, taking its indirect ownership to 100%. This strategic move aims to unlock synergies and improve management efficiency within the 41 KTPA Thailand-based downstream steel wires producer. While TSN Wires has reported recent losses on ~₹270 Cr turnover, full control allows Tata Steel to drive operational improvements and integrate its premium steel wire business more tightly.
