Graphite India Limited — Important, 01-08-2025: Capacity addition

Graphite India (GIL) announced a strategic capacity expansion for its Graphite Electrodes Division. The company plans to add 25,000 TPA, anticipating future demand growth. This expansion, estimated at ~₹600 Cr (including ₹100 Cr for captive renewable energy), will be completed in two phases: 13,000 TPA within 12 months and 12,000 TPA within 36 months. Funding will utilize internal resources or debt, positioning GIL to capitalize on market opportunities.
