Gateway Distriparks (GDL) has secured a 15-year exclusive agreement to be the container train operator for a new Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Ankleshwar, Gujarat. This strategic partnership with Sawariya Group enhances GDL's presence in Western India. The MMLP boasts 200,000 TEU annual capacity and 850,000 sq ft warehousing, serving key industrial zones. GDL will focus on rail services, leveraging an asset-light model that avoids terminal capital investment. Domestic operations have commenced, with EXIM volumes starting next financial year. This shift to rail transportation promises greater efficiency, cost savings, and lower emissions for customers.
